Seated at 8600 feet above sea level and surrounded by mountains in every direction.  We were very close to a small village called Eagle Nest which was a very quaint little town.  Angel Fire is mainly a big skiing destination.  It was not far from Taos or Red River and we drove to both just to check it out.
