Appomattox Virginia

09/01/20 – 09/07/20 – Appomattox Virgina

On April 9, 1865, the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia in the McLean House in the village of Appomattox Court House. We stayed at a small place called Parkview MHP & RV Park about a mile or so from that very spot.

There was a lot of history in the area and it was cool to be staying so close to where the civil war actually ended. The RV Park was called Parkview MHP & RV Park and was really not much more then a field with full hookups. It was however directly across the street for the American Civil War Museum. During our stay we toured the museum and also the grounds at Appomattox Court House. We also went on a nice walk following the footsteps that General Lee traveled when he surrendered at the MacLean House.

Our internet was pretty fast with T-Mobile…
